High school senior Sarah Young learned about advocacy and social action at USY’s 2015 International Convention — specifically how to craft a compelling argument to authority figures in just seven seconds. When Sarah got home, she turned this experience into action, meeting with her school principal to advocate for gender neutral bathrooms. How effective was her argument? The school’s new policy was in place in just one month.
