Educator Search and Onboarding

USCJ is here to support you as you search for your next early childhood or congregational education director.

Working closely with the Jewish Educators Assembly, we can help you establish priorities as to what to look for in an educator, place your posting, conduct your search and onboard your new educator.

Use our Education Director Skills Priority Tool and the Early Childhood Skills Priority Tool to help consider what qualities you need in an educator and complete this form to post your position and be connected to Education Directors or this form to post your position and be connected to Early Childhood Educators.

New Directors Institute

Once you have hired a early childhood or congregational education director, USCJ's New Directors Institute (NDI) helps provide training and orientation, as well as ongoing coaching and access to a network of colleagues.

The NDI experience:

  • Multi-day summer seminar
  • Training on best practices with new and veteran educators
  • Strategies to partner with clergy, parents, students, teachers and lay leaders
  • Experiential and interactive learning about 21st century teaching methodologies
  • A full year of coaching and consultation

USCJ is pleased to welcome educators at congregations affiliated with Reconstructing Judaism as participants in NDI.

Attending NDI was one of the best professional decisions I've ever made!"
