Sulam for Strategic Planners
When was the last time your congregation took the time to dream about its future?
Sulam for Strategic Planners (SSP) guides highly motivated leaders through the key steps of strategic planning over the course of 12-15 months. The program will allow your synagogue to:
- Gather data about internal operations
- Assess the wants and needs of your community
- Create mission and vision statements
- Develop strategies that best balance your goals and capacity
- Produce a final report and recommendations for presentation to your Board of Directors
USCJ’s transformation team works with SSP planners to get the participation you need from your congregation’s lay leaders, staff, and members in order to best implement the recommendations you create.
The SSP process begins with a full-day training session in New York for your rabbi and planning chair(s). Your congregation is then assigned a USCJ transformation specialist who serves as guide, coach and facilitator, joining you on-site four times over the course of the program, helping you navigate from start to finish.
The support provided by the transformation team at USCJ feels like 24/7 roadside assistance. Â Going through Sulam for Strategic Planning has been the most innovative and transformative process our kehilla has ever embarked on.
